Which? Trusted Traders

Which? Trusted Traders helps you find a trustworthy trader that you can rely on, giving you the reassurance that they have been endorsed by a respected consumer organisation.
All Which? Trusted Traders go through our standard assessment, this involves checking their references and qualifications. We ensure they have appropriate insurance in place, do a credit report and get feedback direct from a random selection of their existing customers among other checks to ensure their business is in good shape. In addition, all Which? Trusted Traders have to comply with our Code of Conduct. If they do not, they can be suspended or removed from the scheme. Should anything go wrong, all Which? Trusted Traders are members of an alternative dispute resolution service, which gives you recourse to an independent ombudsman in the unlikely event of a dispute.

FENSA

Fensa registration

FENSA is the Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme. When you install new windows, doors or roof lights for your home, you are required to make sure that the replacements comply with current thermal performance standards and Building Regulations. This means that you need to get a certificate stating that the windows are compliant. This certificate must be issued by a Competent Person scheme, and FENSA is the most common authority for this

Certified Compliance

When we have completed the installation, we will register the installation with Fensa, who will send you out a Compliance Certificate to prove that the work complies with building regulations. You should keep this certificate because you will need it if you decide to sell your property.

Insurance Backed Guarantee Scheme (compliant with Fensa)

HC are a member of the GGFi Insurance Backed Guarantee Scheme in compliance with FENSA and are compliant and will automatically provide their customers with an IBG 10 years insurance backed guarantee on completion of all replacement window and door installations.
